Dr. William Baker, DVM, is the President of William J. Baker, LLC, where he provides consultative advice regarding the development of veterinary drugs. Bill has 23 years of experience in veterinary medicine research and development working in Pfizer Animal Health and Zoetis where he was the Regulatory Affairs lead on a number of animal health development programs leading to FDA registration, which includes Dectomax® antiparasitic for cattle and swine. As the head of Clinical Development, Bill’s team of over 100 scientists and veterinarians developed and registered numerous animal drugs and vaccines, most notably Apoquel® for the treatment of acute and chronic dermatitis in dogs. Bill has practical veterinary experience and a pragmatic approach to veterinary drug development. He retired as a Vice-President in 2017 when he started his consulting business. Bill enjoys snow skiing, golf, and bicycling. He lives in Oro Valley, Arizona.
